Uncle Traveling Torrey
At the beginning of COVID, I was living in China. I fled the country to go to South Africa when we thought it was a small but deadly virus that at the time was called the “Wuhan Virus” as we thought it was contained within the city of Wuhan. I managed to see 3 African countries and then was locked down for 8 months. During that time, I was experimenting with TicTok – a new app at the time – and created a travel log called Uncle Traveling Torrey (link to TikTok profile and Facebook profile). It became more of a video diary about being in lock down in a foreign country.
I got locked out of my TikTok account and can’t figure out how to get back in, but it’s still active so here’s some videos I posted during that time:
